We were looking for a romantic getaway for Valentine’s and we surely found it at South Coast Winery. The villas were spacious and the set up was cozy. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely come back.Feb 19, 2009
My husband and I stayed here before and had a great experience so we decided to stay again. On our first stay we got upgraded to a suite but weren’t as lucky this time. However, the room was still very nice. Just 2 minor complaints, a clogged sink and a loud heater. Our spa experience was fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about our massage and the service afterwards. (We got champange and chocolate strawberries with our massage package… very nice!) They also gave us blankets so we were cozy while we enjoyed ourselves outside on the balcony. The restaurant food and service was wonderful too. We left very full and satisfied. All in all we had a wonderful and relaxing experience which is just what we were looking for.Feb 3, 2009
Clean. Nice comfy beds. Quiet, except for traffic and TV. Our room was facing the freeway and it was a little loud. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. 42″ flat panel TV. The TV made a ticking noise all night. Walk to lots of shopping and restaurants. Great shower. Breakfast bar was dirty and the person that was supposed to be taking care of it was sitting in the room watching TV.Feb 17, 2009
I went away for a girls weekend of wine tasting and we got a great deal on this hotel and were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is. The villa were private and clean, very spacious and room for 4 girls to get ready in the bathroom! Close to all the wineries and restaurants. We had a really great time!Feb 16, 2009
I took my Mother and my Aunt to the South Coast Winery Resort for their 84th birthday. The surrounding are very beautiful and peaceful. The Villas are very spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. The service provide by the hotel staff was excellent. It is conveniently located close to shopping and other restaurants. My family had a wonderful time and plan to go back sometime in the future.Dec 29, 2008
This rooms (villas) in this resort are absolutely breathtaking, however the service of the staff at this hotel left a lot to be desired! I showed up an hour before check-in time and was told that a room was not available and that I should just leave and they would call me when it was ready. All the while a customer checking in next to me was being given two rooms. Then when I went to the “free” tasting room, I was completely ignored by the person providing wine and sparkling to other guests in the room. It’s a beautiful place but they really need to be a lot more friendly to the clientele for the money it costs.Dec 23, 2008
Our visit started with the genuinely, amazingly friendly resort staff who checked us in efficiently. We stayed in the king suite, which had a view of the surrounding mountains through the vineyards. The richly appointed room left no lack of amenities. The bed was extravagantly comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing a quiet, romantic getaway.Oct 11, 2008
We highly recommend this resort to anyone. The rooms are a breath of fresh air to hotel staying. Dinner at the resort restaurant was great! All of our experiences with the staff were outstanding. We will stay here again.Aug 13, 2008
What a fabulous hotel. Even though we stayed only two wonderful nights the experience was beyond our expectations. The vineyards were beautiful, the location was perfect (within distance of Old Town, restaurants, other wineries). The only downside were the pillows, they were filled with sharp feathers. Ouch! Would recommend this hotel to anyone who would a resort experience without the high prices.Jun 25, 2008
Our room was very large, very clean, beautifully decorated, and so romantic. The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable. The patio with vineyard view was definitely a nice bonus. The atmosphere of the entire place was relaxing. Such a great value too. We can’t wait to stay here again.May 29, 2008
We just returned from a three day stsy at So Coast, we did not know what to expect as the rooms said “Villas”. This is truly a wonderful and unique place in that your rooms do Not share common walls and you have a private patio, in most cases looking out to the vineyards. It rained the whole time we were ther which is not common this time of the year, but I must say the we enjoyed our stay almost more becuase of the rain. The rooms are extremly large with fire places and a bath room to die for that went on forever! The service and staff were all excellent. Our only complaint was the restuarant, which we thought we would try and did not try again. The food was blan and unimpressive for such a wonderful place, we were really expecting a better meal, the service was just soso.. I would give this resort the highest recommendation, but eat else where!May 25, 2008
From the minute my friend and I drove onto the property, we knew we were in for a real treat. I grew up in the Napa Valley, and the area looked just like a little bit of home. Our villa was surrounded by vineyards and beautiful flowers and green lawns. Everything is impeccably maintained, 24/7. When we opened the door to our villa, we both dropped our jaws in surprise: absolutely stunning, with lovely furnishings, art work and spacious sitting room. The bathroom is not to be believed, just beautiful. The staff in the spa were friendly and helpful, and the pedicures we got were so relaxing. The wine tasting was nice, and the selection of wines available was quite varied, and of good quality. We both joined the wine club, and will be returning to pick up our selections, and visit the spa again. Our only disappointment was in the restaurant: the food did not match the prices charged.Guest Comments from Priceline.com

Nice place to stay if you don’t mind lizards, mice & bugs in your room. I don’t plan on staying in the country setting again.Dec 8, 2007
Very beautiful romantic hotel with a great restaurant. Beautiful villas and landscape.Feb 21, 2007
Perfect romantic getaway. Stay in individual “casitas” suites amidst picturesque grape vineyards. In room Jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces are standard amenities. At least a dozen vineyards are within 10 min drive. Beautiful outdoor pool and top notch health spa beckon. The staff was wonderful. Golf and shopping are close by.Guest Comments from Expedia.com

This ia a great all-in-one place to visit. The rooms are awesome, the food id great and the winery/tasting room is top notch.Jan 6, 2009
My wife and I got married at South Coast a few years back and finally made it back to stay a couple of nights last month. We had a fantastic time and we hope to come back very soon.Oct 28, 2008
We loved everything about this place. We will go back and have already told everyone we know about this place!!Sep 22, 2008
wine tour exceeded my expectations as did our very private villa. the decor of the room was very nice and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. so so comfy. the tube is off the hook too. i enjoyed my stay so much i joined the wine club and cant wait to go back and visitSep 10, 2008
We have stayed at this hotel/spa many times and will continue to go back. The service, professionalism, villas and overall experience is wonderful. I would truly recommend this hotel to everyone for a romantic get away to a place where you can just relax.Aug 29, 2008
we’re planning our next trip there. whether a couple alone or with another couple, this resort has everything you will require. the rooms are more than expected, decor and size. service is excellent at all of the resorts venues. the only thing I would add to an already vast array of services would be a snack counter that would allow you to buy cheeses, breads and pastries and other cold drinks. this addition would allow you to stay and not leave the resort except to go home. but not a drawback at all. next time I’ll bring my own stash!Aug 20, 2008
Wow! I had a great time doing Wine Tasting in Temecula this summer! SCW has a great selection of wines and luxurious villas that overlook the vinards. Great spa and pool to relax in. I would definetly stay there again. However, they need to improve their room service options as there is no room service passed 9 p.m. Definetly pack some snacks if you get hungry at night as there is not a close by restaurant nearby.Aug 11, 2008
Hotel was fabulous - we stayed there for our wedding night. The vineyard was steps away from the patio. Definitely recommend!Jul 22, 2008
The resort staff members were all incredibly helpful. The villas are all set up with everything you need to relax and unwind including a private patio next to the vinyards. The spa is one of the nicest and most complete that we have ever been to and you should not miss a swim in the salt water pool. Dining at the resort is a treat as well and your local wine selection is very resonably priced and excellent wines.Jul 16, 2008
Clean quiet and restfull. Breakfast was sent to our room and it was very good.Jul 16, 2008
We were truly happy to find a resort that you could really relax in. Very quiet and peaceful. We didnt have time to take in the balloon ride or the spa treatments but are returning to take full advantage of them To wake up amid the grape vines and the rabbits was refreshing. To have a complimentary bottle of their wine waiting for you in your room upon arriving was wonderful. The large villas with spa tubs was the way to finish a hard day of travel. Meals were delicious without being expensive. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Very impressed with the resort.Jun 11, 2008
I travel a lot for the wine industry and I usually end up in hotels next to freeways. This place is the closest I’ve come to Nirvana! Quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. Great gym, pool, and spa. Far enough from town to be quiet, but not so far you can’t go in for dinner and the nightlife if you’re into that sort of thing. I usually just grab some good cheese, french bread, and wine and hang on the neat patio that every villa has.May 28, 2008
Immediately upon entering the grounds of South Coast Winery Resort you move into a world filled with fragrant flowers, amazing landscaping, and incredible service. The room, or should I say villa, was beautiful. Most impressive is the attention to detail; from the décor, to the soft, over-sized robes, you feel as if the finest has been prepared just for you. The wine tasting room was a treat! Guests receive a complementary wine tasting and it is well worth the investment of time. South Coast Winery Resort offers a variety of wines and you are sure to find something that will bring a smile to your face. Make sure you also sign up for the behind-the-scenes tour. You will experience what goes into making the wine and have a great wine-tasting experience at the end of the tour. Each room is really a separate building and has a porch designed for your enjoyment and privacy. A great way to start the day is to enjoy breakfast on the porch as you take in the spectacular view. We enjoyed watching hot-air balloons glide by in the early morning sun as we sipped coffee and contemplated our plans for the day. The resorts restaurant was exceptionally good and the service was even better. You have a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Take time to enjoy the spa services as well. The warm stone massage was amazing. South Coast Winery Resort provided a memorable vacation experience and the sites and people of Temecula, California are well worth the investment.May 20, 2008
The villas are very luxurious, nice pillows, sheets, jacuzzi tub. Very private and quiet. Great food in the restaurant. Beautiful grounds. Located in the midst of all the local wineries. I would definitely recommend this to others. This was a great getaway!May 9, 2008
A very romantic getaway. The wine-tasting room is one of the best. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious. The “villa” was more than we ever expected.Guest Comments from Orbitz.com

My wife and I wanted to have a quick weekend trip and the South Coast Winery and Spa was a perfect place. The villas are … smartly constructed - there are no common walls, and the layout creates a lot more space to unwind than you might think. If you enjoy wine-tasting, I heartily recommend it.Nov 22, 2008
Great getaway. The villas are amazing. Very large and comfortable. Now is a great time of the year to get out to … Temecula. I had a blast and will definitely stay again.Sep 20, 2008
The South Coast was absolutley beautiful! The rooms were very large and cozy. Peaceful, romantic place to stay and the staff … was excellent. If you want night life this is not the place to stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.Sep 19, 2008
South Coast Winery Resort and Spa was a wonderful surprise. We arrived early and were provided early check-in. The cluster … of villas were located in the Vinyard. After check-in we enjoyed our complimentary wine tasting. My husband a bit of a wine snob, was so impressed that we are now wine club members of South Coast Winery. We also enjoyed dinner at the resturant. We gave our waiter a top rating for his knowledgeable service. Our private patio was surrounded by grape vines. We sipped our coffee in the morning enjoying views of the sun rising above the vinyard as well as early morning hot air balloons close enough to reach out and touch. The villas are decorated beautifully and include romantic fireplaces and jacuzzi bathtubs. Prior to leaving we enjoyed the pool which was in walking distance from our villa and only wished we had time to enjoy the Spa. We will definitley book massages on our next visit for my birthday!sep 19, 2008
The South Coast Winery Resort and Spa is our favorite place in Temecula! We stayed here on our honeymoon last year and then … once more last week when we happened to be in the area. The rooms are incredible and the location is spectacular. They had great wine (free tasting) and we had a lovely dinner outside as the sun set on the vineyard. That being said, there isn’t much else around the area. On our honeymoon we ended up feeling a bit isolated and would make trips into town — but the spread out town lacks a central area (other than the touristy Old Town).Aug 29, 2008
Our stay greatly exceede expectations…a true Villa exprience and at a reasonable price .Privacy was the most valuable item … your own patio looking out on your mini vinyard and spa tub for soaking does not get much better….the bed was very comfotable and the villa very spacious….loved it!Aug 25, 2008
My wife and I live in nothern Orange County — a 75 minute drive, but we felt like we were in another world. The winery and … resort is a great combination (which I am sure will be followed by more!). The staff was extremely friendly, and the room was fantastic. Although we did not get the chance to dine in the restaurant or visit the spa, we definitely plan on returning soon.Aug 7, 2008
Pleasantly surprised by the whole experience, lobby, check-in, grounds, winery, spa, room and restaurant. Not quite napa, but … its so close. The wine was the best in the area as was the resort. We will be going back!!Aug 5, 2008
This hotel is in the heart of the Temecula wine district at one of the most highly regarded and award winning wineries in the … valley. The hotel rooms are actually small casitas that are very comfortable, well appointed and elegantely furnished, surrounded by peaceful vineyards. The restaurant at the winery produces excellent cuisine that can be coupled with South Coast estate wines that compare with, and often exceed, California’s finest. A large and nicely designed wine tasting room adjacent to the restaurant offers liquid delights sure to please. With Temecula area being home to many other highly respected wineries, a stay at this wonderful resort is sure to please travelersJul 9, 2008
South Coast winery and resort spa is a beautiful, elegant, indulgent retreat in the heart of Temecula wine country. The … casitas are beautiful and fully appointed. The spa and pool area are gorgeous and the restaurant at the winery is wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about the place. You must try it.Jun 30, 2008
South Coast Winery R&S is great. My husband and I come here 2x/year. The rooms are great. Jacuzzi tub, shower with 2 shower … heads, super comfy bed, and a fantastic patio that backs up into the winery. The food is great, and the wine tasting is wonderful… be careful… they are generous with their pour! The free bottle of wine is actually one I would buy! We will continue to visit twice annually!!!Jun 16, 2008
The South Coast Winery Resort and Spa was the perfect place for a romantic get away in the Temecula Wine Country. The room … was spacious, comfortable and much larger than we had even expected. the grounds were manicured perfectly and made one truly feel as though they were staying in a five -stay luxury hotel! The restaurant was beautifully situated with beautiful views of the vineyards on the property. Located in the heart of the Temecula wine country, it served to be in the perfect location as it was within minutes of other wineries. The complimentary wine tasting was the perfect way to spend our first hour on the property after driving down from L.A.May 5, 2008
The South Coast Winery Resort & Spa was beautiful. I immediately began to relex among the flowers and landscape. The staff … was very attentive. The service in the restaurant was fantastic. The villas are decorated nicely. The bathroom is the most impressive. I stayed in town for a concert and wished I had more time to experience the spa. I can’t wait to plan my next trip. One caveat you are in the country so if you are afraid of lizards, spiders, and beetles, be cautious.Mar 15, 2008
The South Coast Winery was our choice to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The room was fantastic and it was a nice touch … to receive a free bottle of wine with the room, in addition to a free wine-tasting session. Our room was not ready when we arrived and we were told we’d be notified when it was. When that did not happen a different representative supplied us with a bottle of wine of our choice. However, we were slightly let down because we were not allowed even an hour later for check out despite it being my friend’s birthday. Since we were not allowed a late check out and with the cost being high for the room, we will look to another option if we were to stay in the Temecula wine country again.Guest Comments from Tripadvisor.com

Two couples spent the night at the South Coast Winery Hotel. We had a fun filled time at the tasting room. We had a wonderful dinner. It is a little pricey. This is our second visit-we look forward to our next visit to South Coast Winery HotelFeb 18, 2009
My husband and I have family in Temecula. We decided to stay here Christmas night. We got a wonderful rate. Our room was secluded and quiet, very important to us. No one on any side of us. The doors out to the garden were great and private. We found the livingroom to be romantic. Fireplace, nice couch, tv turned to that area and bedroom. We loved the shower with two shower heads and seat. We called to ask where ice was and it was delivered to our door in minutes. Had wonderful breakfast roomservice. Parking was easy. Check in and out very friendly. Sourounding area is so beautiful and many nice places to take pictures. We will return.Jan 6, 2009
My husband and I gave this getaway to South Coast Winery and Resort as a Christmas gift to each other and it was a wonderful gift! This resort is set up so nicely; so private and romantic. The villa we had was a very good size and shared no common walls with the other villas. The bathroom was huge with loads of counterspace and a wonderful spa tub big enough for two. My husband loved the very comfortable bed! The patios are also very private and are surrounded by the grapevines used by the winery. All of the grounds were very pretty. We did not use the spa and pool but it looked very nice. The winery was very nice too and the resort gave us some free wine tastings. South Coast is situated very well on Rancho California road , right by all of the other major wineries so there is not much driving. (South Coast winery, by the way, was voted the California winery of the year. ) If you feel like gambling, Pechanga Casino is not too far. We only ate breakfast at the resort and it was very good and service was great. We are already making plans on staying here again. It was truly lovely!Click to view more Photos, Maps & Comments.
