Temecula Inn is an old hotel badly in need of improvement! Rooms are dark and furniture is old and of poor quality. Bathroom toilet did not work well. Sink was on the verge of stopping up. Restaurant was over priced.Dec 28, 2008
The structure appears to be from the fifties or sixties with few updates since that time. The room decor is sparse and indicative of the southwestern style that was popular in the eighties. The price, considering the additional parking fee seemed high for the old inn. I paid the same price for a great room at one of the local casino hotels.Sep 5, 2008
Our overall stay was pleasant. It wasn’t over crowded, the landscaping was well kept and lots & lots of mature trees and vegetation. Loved the location and quiet. The pool & hot tub was a nice layout and never too full;once though there towel cubby outside by the pool was empty, thus no drying off til’ hubby went and found some towels. I though $10 a day for parking and $10 a day for internet hookup was a little steep. The mini fridge in the room didn’t fit in it’s space and I was fighting it the whole time there. Lastly, they could use some new tennis racquets, although they were complimentary they were very beat up.Aug 26, 2008
For the for saving 40% off the standard rate, we thought what a great deal. It was just OK. The view of the golf course is nice. The SPAs plaster was coming off, we had sand in our swim wear when we got out. Other small things happen with the room & service that you expect at a cheaper rate. I recommend the Hampton Inn in the area way better overall, just no golf course view.Aug 24, 2008
temecula creek feels family owned. Yet has none of the draw backs. Such as inconsistency of quality. Very nice experience.Apr 9, 2008
So clean, beautiful and peaceful. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. But plan to pay $10 extra per car for parkingMar 10, 2008
Large, well accomodated rooms. Very quite and rustic. 2 miles from Pechanga Casino and old town Temecula. Great restaurant and room service with lovely views of the golf course. Country feel. We will go back.Dec 5, 2007
Nice Hotel, but the rooms are not as nice as the price would indicate. It has a very nice golf course, but if you don’t use the golf course, you could probably find something nicer or more reasonably priced.Oct 11, 2007
There were two issues I had, the first housekeeping came to my door on my last before 9am, knocked and didn’t wait for a response and began opening the door. I was still in bed half asleep. The second issued I had was upon checkout, there was line and each guest had issues that needed special attention or the staff is poorly trained. Finaly my turn came after waiting 10 min and they couldn’t provide with a final receipt since I booked through hotels.com. I have never heard of this. I have stayed at many hotels and I always book through the travel sites and always get my receipt upon checkout of the hotel. I spoke with the manager.Aug 24, 2007
This was an excellent room for the money. We arrived on a Friday and stayed through till Sunday. The room provided a private balcony over looking the golf course, close access to the wine country and comfy robes for two. The lounge was a great place to relax in the early evening and the menu for dinner seemed really good but we did not get a chance to sample it. The lounge over looks the golf course as well. I would definately recommend this hotel for couples as well as business travelers.Aug 20, 2007
It was a nice room and quite clean. The only problem we encountered was when we requested to stay another day and were quoted a price almost twice as much as we were paying. Other than that it was a great stay, execpt for the $10 a day parking charge which I thought was absurd and just a way to weasle more money out of the clientele.Jul 17, 2007
Temacula Creek Inn was very pretty both inside and outside. We traveled with our 11 year old Twins who enjoyed the pool, although there was not much else there for kids unless they golf. The scenary around the hotel was beautiful. The beds in the room were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, including our own. Great hotel, great price, nice people. Great place to stay to visit San Diego if you don’t mind the 60 mile drive there.Jan 16, 2007
I enjoyed staying at this hotel and I would definitely stay here again when I’m in the Temecula area. The hotel is quietly tucked away near scenic hills, but is close enough to the freeways, old town Temecula, and wine tasting to still have fun on the town. My room had a wonderful view of the golf course, the bathroom was spacious and is equipped with Aveda soaps and lotions, the menu at the hotel restaurant was impressive (especially the breakfast menu) and the views from the restaurant are condusive to a very romantic stay. I read a review saying the customer service was lacking, but I thought it was great. The only downside is there is a charge for internet, but if you’re on vacation leave your laptop at home and enjoy your time without it.Guest Comments from Priceline.com

I loved the great view. I loved the location. The great was up my alley, great customer service, perfect location to go to pechanga.Oct 18, 2008
The hotel setting is very pretty. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bed mattress was very uncomfortable and the room lighting was not adequate. Overall the stay was nice.Guest Comments from Expedia.com

It is a very well laid out facility on the golf course and away from noise and traffic on the 15. Great for business retreat or family getaway.Dec 11, 2008
The room was clean and large enough for two people. It was very close to Pachanga Casino. The animal skin shadow box was in poor taste. The telephones didn’t work and the maid knocked on the door at 8am to clean the roomNov 5, 2008
We had stayed here a few years ago and this most recent visit we noticed that the grounds and exterior (excluding the golf course) needed some TLC. The tennis court nets were ripped and sagging the surface was damaged and not at all sufficient to play on.Oct 22, 2008
The caveat to my review is that we don’t play golf… We did a 2 day weekend trip to Temecula to try out some of the wineries and basically chill out. The Creek Inn was a good choice for what we had budgeted for lodging. The Hotel is simple, clean, nothing spectacular. The restaurant is very very good, bit expensive, but a great option for dinner w/o having to drive out.Aug 6, 2008
Hotel was great and has a beautiful scenery. We request for a double queens but they gave us one queen bed and went back to front desk and change it to double queen bed.We have a very pleasant stay..Aug 6, 2008
The good … Room was large, with big LCD TV. The bad…Started coffee on the small in-room coffee maker only to find no cups. Had to call several times to get cups 45 minutes later. Room Service took over an hour (promised 25 minutes) to get the overpriced order wrong. Didn’t deliver the coffee and juice. The ugly…Decoration was circa 1970. The bedspread looked as if it was purchased from the Salvation Army around the same year. The room was supposed to be two queens, got a King. Bed was old and not particularly comfortable.Aug 1, 2008
This hotel is on a golf course, and is very beautifully furnished. The staff is courteous and cheerful. The food is excellent. I did not want to leave.Jul 16, 2008
My husband and I were quite pleased with the Temecula Creek Inn. We stayed only one night so we could go on the wine tasting tour which picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The grounds were beautiful. We had a view of the golf course from our balcony. We played golf on Sunday morning and was pleased to see there were 3 different nine hole courses we could play on. The men in the golf shop were very helpful. We only ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant, but it was delicious and they had a couple of items on the menu that I had not seen in other restaurants.Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely stay here again.Jul 16, 2008
The pictures of the hotel make it look much nicer than it is in reality. It sort of seemed like a remodeled apartment complex. The pool was small, but suited the capacity of the hotel. The rooms were clean but furnished strangely, as they had tv’s in odd places with only one chair. It just all seemed like a little thrown together. However, the restaurant at the hotel was wonderful. The food was tasty, the wine list included a variety of choices, and the golf course provided a beautiful backdrop during dinner and a nice place for a walk after dessert. Overall, just an OK place to stay.Jul 9, 2008
We arrive there about 11am and they told us that the rooms are not ready, however they took our information and told us that as soon as the rooms became available they are goig to call us. Well they call us at 4:23pm (regullar check in time is 4pm) and when we got there the rooms were not what we asked for (we ask for 2 queen bed/1 room and 1 king bed/2 room) both were 1 king bed. We went to the reception and explain what happen but they told us that they are book out and they are sorry for what happen and offer us a roller bed. We didn’t like that.Jun 25, 2008
beautiful grounds, spacious room (4 ladies and plenty of moving around space)had a wonderful breakfast at the hotel restaurant. All staff throughout the hotel/restaurant were friendly and helpful. Pool and spa a bit small, but clean and comfortable. Only negative and the reason for a 4 for overall satisfaction - they make you pay $10/day for self parking. Please explain that to me??May 14, 2008
A winding road lined with beautiful rose bushes leads to the Temecula Creek Inn. Although the facility is older, it is well maintained. The setting is spectacular. We enjoyed two wonderful meals in the dining room overlooking the 27 hole lush green golf course. The staff was professional and friendly at all times. The room was nicely decorated in a southwest style and had one of the best showers we’d ever experienced. My wife appreciated the excellently lighted swing-out vanity mirror. I was very pleased to have the 42 inch flat screen TV at my disposal.Apr 22, 2208
The Temecula Creek Inn was a very nice hotel. We got to the hotel early in the morning of our check-in because we were going to go wine tasting and they already had a room for us and allowed us to check-in. The room had a nice golf course view and was very clean and quiet.Mar 19, 2008
The staff at the hotel were clueless. They didn’t have maps of the wine trail… why would anyone even go to Temecula otherwise?! The room was 1/2 modern, 1/2 still needed renovating. The TV reception was grainy. We had a “faux” balcony that was severely irritating. And the cleaning staff left our door wide open after they left. The restaurant on the other hand was absoluetly SUPERB. I would go back just to eat. The wait staff was top-rated, the view was spectacular, the food was outstanding.Mar 11, 2008

OLDER MOTEL BUT VERY WELL KEPT AND VERY LARGE ROOMS, WE WERE ON FIRST FLOOR AND ABLE TO PARK RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR ROOM … (like the old days) WE COULD SEE THE GOLF COURSE AND HOT TUB FROM OUR ROOM. WE PLAYED GOLF IN MORNING,VERY TOUGH COURSE. THEN USED THE HOT TUB IN THE EVENING. LOCATION IS RIGHT OF INTERSATE, AND BEGINING OF WINE COUNTRYSep 8, 2008
The Temecula Inn is in a nice location. The landscaping is very nice with mature trees and a nicely developed golf … course. I wanted to take my Wife somewhere nice for our anniversary. The room was less than expected for the price, small and dark. The single bed was said to be a king, but smaller than my king. The headboard was detached from the bed and bounced against the wall. We finally had to stuffed a pillow behind it to stop the banging. The coffee maker did not work. The elevator was being serviced the day we were there. We had a first floor room as we requested, but ground level was the second floor requiring the elevator or stairs. Also, they charge for ($10.00 a day parking, not valet) and for internet access. They did waive the parking fee when told of the coffee maker.Sep 1, 1008
The Temecula Creek Inn has been in that area for many years. They always seem to try and keep up the class and ambiance … image of its location and offerings. While we did not golf, we enjoyed the serenity of the beautiful greens and the quietness of the location. Because our stay was during the middle of a holiday weekend, we had to wait 30 minutes longer for our room to check in after the required 4 p.m. time. Other than that, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay which is what I wanted. The staff at check in were most helpful and apologized for the delay. My only complaint was a $10 charge to park my car in the complex. That was new and I am not sure I understand the reason behind it.Nov 17, 2007
The Temecula Inn was the 2nd worst hotel experience we every had. We arrived around 10:00 at night, having flown in from NYC … and drove from LA. If we weren’t so tired we would have moved on. When we got to the room, we couldn’t believe the bathtub was completely peeling with chunks of it in the tub. Then the sheets were discusting threadbare and stained. We have pictures. Needless to say we moved on.Aug 7, 2007
This hotel was located right on the golf course so it had a very nice view. I felt like it was just average on the … amenities and a little overpriced but I guess that is the case during peak season for all hotels. Overall very nice though.Jun 11, 2007
The Temecula Creek Inn is an older resort that is set in a beautiful hilly/forested area of So. California. My wife and I … have been to a number of golf resorts over the years and would say that this was our BEST experience. The rooms seemed newly remodeled, the clubhouse was awesome, and the views were spectacular. This was well worth it.Jan 28, 2007
The rooms are very quiet, since its away from the freeway and other major streets its has a secluded feeling. We had rented … two rooms we had a premium (what a laugh that was) and had a deluxe room for some friends (which was a better room). The deluxe had a king size bed and small television. While our friends room had two queen beds and a large flat screen. I didn’t see where the difference was in the price.Guest Comments from Travelocity.com

The reception at the lobby, ease of registration and directions made the trip start smoothly. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable balcony overlooking the 1st tee box. The room was very quiet, the only sound from the open balcony door was an occasional sound of driver hitting golf ball. The view looking over the golf course and the hills beyond was wonderful. We found all the technological features one would want. We had breakfast at the grill and found the menu would fit most every ones taste, from health conscious to steak and potatoes. We especially liked the Chili Relleno Fritata.Apr 2008
First, the room was overpriced. If it were really lovely at the price, it would have been fine, but it was just very “usual” in room appearance. Nothing special except a cheezy golf course view. The fact that $10 is charged for parking seems ridiculous too. That’s $10 per car. Not even one is gratis. Then, there was the plumbing problem. We awoke to a gurgling, bubbling noise and began to smell what can only be described as a raw sewage smell. Then the toilet began to flow over onto the floor. I quickly dressed and ran to the office where I started to explain the issue. But I was interrupted by the phone ringing. The person at the front desk said, hold on while I put this caller on hold. But instead of doing that, she began checking on things for the caller. Finally, not believing that she was actually having a conversation with the caller, I got the attention of the other attendant, who was helping someone else, and told her about the sewage and toilet. I was told that they’d send maintainance. When I went back to the room, the smell was so bad that we decided to leave right away. I had to ask for a discount on the room; it wasn’t offered. And even with the discount, it was not worth the money. We won’t go back. The Motel 6 would have been a better value for the money.Sep 2007
We checked in expecting a room that at least looked like the web pictures, NO SUCH LUCK!!!,very dissapointing, got another room and again was a dissapointment. checked out and went to another hotel. Would not reccomend to anyoneGuest Comments from Tripadvisor.com

This was our first “Wine” trip and our first time out to Temecula. I booked the entire package online: hotel, dinner & breakfast as well as Wine Tour on the Grapeline. We arrived in Temecula on Saturday afternoon; check in was ok although there seemed to be a little bit of confusion as to which package we had purchased.
The inn itself is rather plain - guess some people would call it rustic. The buildings are plain and box-like, didn’t see much in the way of architectural interest, had a camp-like feel to me. The rooms were nice and big and we had a nice balcony overlooking the golf course but other than that there was nothing special about them - probably the nicest part was the fluffy bedding. The bathrooms were also ok - not luxurious - just nice. The inn has a small pool and jacuzzi; it was cold so we just went into the jacuzzi. The grounds were nice with lots of trees and the golf course around us. All in all felt the Inn was nice but a bit overpriced. The rest of the trip was really nice - the restaurant at the Inn was excellent had dinner and brunch there - the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Also had a lot of fun on the Grapeline tour.Jan 28, 2009
My husband and I stayed one night at Temecula Creek Inn for a romantic get-away. The property is pretty, however I thought the hotel was average and a little over priced. They do allow a one-night Saturday stay, which we found hard to find elsewhere…Sep 3, 2008
I do extensive business travel and really don’t understand many of the negative reviews. We went ahead and stayed there to see for ourselves and it was a wonderful place to stay…Jan 18, 2008
During a recent business visit to Anza, I decided to stay in the Temecula area due to the proliferation of decent lodging. I chose the Temecula Creek Inn because they advertise a tennis program on their website, and I though I would take advantage of my free afternoon and fit in a hitting session. When I booked the property I asked if they had wireless access and was told they were equipped for wireless throughout the property. Two days prior to my stay I called to book my tennis lesson and was told not only do they not have a tennis program but they had no idea where in Temecula I could locate a pro to come to the site. During my evening there I brought my laptop to the lounge to do some work over a glass of wine, and lo and behold there was no wireless. So I took my laptop back to my room and there was no wireless there either. No problem, because they did have internet connectivity, but still. Very disapppointing. The bed was comfy enough and the room service was tasty, but I found the property to be just average overall and there are places in Temecula with better ratings. I won’t go again.Click to view more Photos, Maps & Comments.
